Tinnitus Retraining Therapy

Tinnitus retraining therapy is a very useful weapon for individuals suffering from tinnitus. This is a condition that actually has no definitive cure, so being able to control it and have it seem as though it is not actually there is extremely helpful to those sufferers so that they can go about their daily lives in a normal fashion.


For those people that have never heard of tinnitus or are not aware of the condition itself, it is when you constantly hear a noise in your ears that no one else can hear. You know the symptoms, a ringing or a buzzing that will simply just not go away. At some point in about 20% of the population, tinnitus has been experienced at one level or another.

Reduce the stress in your life, wear ear plugs or protective head phones when you are exposed to loud volume such as might occur at a concert or in workplace setting. Try not to listen to your iPod or Bluetooth at full volume and crank down the volume for your TV or home theater. You'll stand a much better chance of avoiding tinnitus.
